Yes, BCC is easier and shorter than CCC. BCC: 36 hours, 50 questions, basic topics. CCC: 80 hours, 100 questions, more detailed. Start with BCC if you are a complete beginner, then do CCC for a stronger certificate.
You can STUDY at home (self-study mode). But the EXAM must be taken at a NIELIT-accredited centre in person. You cannot take the exam from home. Find your nearest centre at nielit.gov.in.
BCC alone qualifies you for basic computer operator and data entry jobs (₹8–18K/month). For better jobs, combine BCC with Tally (accounting) or typing speed (35+ WPM). For government IT posts, you need CCC or O Level — BCC is the starting point.
There is no limit on attempts. If you fail, you can re-register and appear in the next month. Exam is conducted every month (1st Saturday). Each attempt costs ₹500. Most students pass in the first attempt with basic preparation.
