How to Register for BCC Exam

You can study BCC at home (self-study) or at a NIELIT-accredited centre. The exam is conducted online every month at NIELIT centres across India.

Create account → Enter name, email, mobile number, date of birth, and address. Upload passport-size photo and signature.

Select exam centre & date → Choose a NIELIT centre near you. Exams are available every month. Pick a date that gives you enough preparation time.

Pay exam fee — ₹500 → Pay online via debit card, credit card, or net banking. No other fees. This ₹500 is the total cost of getting BCC certified.

Download admit card → Available 7 days before exam. Carry it with a valid photo ID (Aadhaar/school ID) to the exam centre.

Appear for online exam → 50 MCQ questions, 1 hour duration, at a NIELIT centre. Pass mark: 50% (25 out of 50 correct answers).

Download certificate → Results within 15 days. If passed, download your NIELIT BCC certificate from the portal. This is your government-recognized proof of computer literacy.
Self-Study Option: You do NOT need to join any coaching centre. Study the syllabus at home using YouTube videos and NIELIT study material (free PDF on nielit.gov.in). Then directly appear for the exam. Total cost: just ₹500.
